Expert control and recommendation in management of cave systems

In  Postojna and Predjama cave systems regular expert control of natural worths is organized since 2009. Additionally, climatic monitoring including measurement of air temperature, air pressure, CO2, humidity, direction and wind speed, and rock temperature is organized. Measurements are performed at more monitoring sites with different instruments. On special performances, during sanitation and construction in caves expert control is strengthened. Heavy cave visits show increase of air temperature and  CO2 concentrations, which return back to regular values. Biological monitoring includes monitoring of fauna in percolation water at more cave locations. Monitoring of restriction lampenflora growth is organized as well.
