Research is focused on karst caves, which preserve traces of geological and speleological data for a million or more years and are thus unique natural archives. Caves and karst areas preserve the traces of palaeoclimatic conditions in which they have been formed. Within the project we want to compare research methods of cave meteorology from Slovene caves with some US caves. We want to compare good experience in establishment and maintenance of micro-climatic monitoring in caves in Slovenia with karst areas in southern Nevada and New Mexico in USA.
